Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a collection of techniques for removing minor dents and dings from the auto body. It is also known as paint less dent removal. A ample range of damage can be repaired using PDR; however, usually if there is paint damage, PDR may be unsuitable.
The most common practical use for PDR is to repair of hail damage, door dings, minor body creases, and minor bumper indentations from a vehicle's exterior surface panels without disturbing the look of a car.

How to repair a dent in your car?
Here I am going to discuss with you some steps that used to complete the dent repair are as follows:
  1. Firstly examine the hub of the cavity, and drill a hole in the dent with a 1/8 inch drill bit. Otherwise, you can use glue handgun to glue a synthetic adapter at the center of the dent. Dent removal kits include the glue handgun and synthetic adapter.
  2. The second step is to attach the dent pulling tool to the plastic circle that is glued on the dent by the glue gun. Now with the help of dent pulling tool pull it out.
  3. Now carefully hammer the dent using the hammer that is specially designed for automotive (metalworking hammer), at the same time holding the dolly firmly in opposition to the dent back. So it may be required to go underside the car in order to reach the backside of the dent.
  4. Use a medium grit disk mounted on a drill to grind the paint down to the bare metal, now extending the affected area out at least one inch around the dent itself. Then fill the entire area with good quality body filler.
  5. Allow the body filler to dry completely, and then carefully sand the area with sandpaper which has been wrapped around a wood block. When sanding, starts with a 36-grit sandpaper and work up to 120-grit sandpaper.
  6. Use a spray primer to prime the affected area, but one thing you should keep in mind that the spray primer is specially designed for the use of automotive. Now we have to use six coats of primer, each coat allow to dry before apply to next primer coat.
  7. Sand the primer using a 600-grit wet and dry sandpaper. You can use this step to remove any scratches. The affected area should then be touched up with a matching automotive paint. If there is difference in paint leveling and it is not smooth then repaint and resend the affected area until you have a soft surface.
Now you need not to worry about your car dents. You just need to visit Collision Repair Center of Temecula. We follow the above mentioned procedure to remove a dent or ding.
